Nor Hashidah Abd-Hamid, PhD, is the lead instructional designer for the Institute for Public Health Practice (IPHP) at the University of Iowa College of Public Health, including the Midwestern Public Health Training Center (HRSA Region VII MPHTC). Dr. Abd-Hamid has been involved in the design and development of a variety of online preparedness-related courses as well as public-health related courses. Dr. Abd-Hamid holds a PhD in Science Education from the University of Iowa, has been on staff at the IPHP since 2005. She has a total of ten years of experience in designing and developing online courses for state and local public health professionals. She works closely with subject matter experts to design and develop all aspects of the competency-based eLearning as well as to develop Kirkpatrick's Evaluation tools for evaluating the effectiveness of the online courses. She has extensive experience with authoring tools including Desire2Learn, Moodle, Adobe Creative Suite products, and Articulate Storyline.
