Amanda Maria Navarro, Deputy Director, is currently overseeing efforts of the national Convergence Partnership. She provides strategic guidance, technical assistance, and training to public and private agencies and organizations on strategies for creating healthy, equitable communities. Previously, Amanda worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention coordinating several programmatic and research activities related to health disparities, social determinants of health, and community health promotion. She holds an MPH from Boston University and a DrPH from the University of Texas School of Public Health-Houston. Amanda has published on various health issues, including HIV/AIDS prevention, access to health services among Medicaid and SCHIP families, and the impact of policies and practices on racial and ethnic health inequities.
