Dr Salisu Ishaku is the Director of Population Council’s reproductive health program in Nigeria. He provides leadership in design, implementation, and evaluation of the RH programs and works with Nigerian government and Ministry of Health to translate Council’s research into policy decisions. He has participated in numerous panels and presentations on wide range of issues on reproductive health and family planning and has published on these subjects in numerous journals. He holds an MBBS medical degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Nigeria, and an MPH in global maternal and child health from Tulane University, New Orleans, United States of America where he studied as a Ford Foundation International fellow. While at Tulane he received a Compton Foundation International Fellowship.
